Sponsor 40 orphans in Sudan

On this blessed 27th night of Ramadan, SWAN charity extends a unique opportunity to support our young brothers and sisters in Sudan. As the country grapples with political turmoil and conflict, we are fortunate to be presented with this chance to make a difference.

£300 can sponsor an orphan for a year, providing essential support to keep them fed, sheltered, clothed, access to medical care, education, and ensuring their safety. 

£25 can sponsor one for a month

£40 can provide an Eid pack, bringing joy to those in need during this holy month.

As the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "I and the one who cares for an orphan will be like this in Paradise," illustrating the immense reward for those who extend kindness and support to orphaned children.

Islam has not overlooked the importance of calling and urging to sponsor “the orphan” in many Quranic verses and noble hadiths that emphasise good treatment and embracing the orphan, and promising goodness, provision, pleasure, and companionship with the Prophet in Paradise for those who sponsor them well. 

The Prophet (pbuh) said, “Whoever caresses the head of an orphan (in affection), solely for the sake of Allah, a good deed will be written to his account for every hair over which his hand passed; and whoever treats an orphan girl or boy with kindness and good, I and he will be together in Paradise like this,” and he joined his forefinger and middle finger together.

The plight of orphans and unaccompanied children in Sudan is severe. Refugee camps are full of children without anyone to look after them – they are the most vulnerable and face the most danger.
