Multiplying Impact: Our Smaller Ramadhan Initiatives
In Ramadan 2024, we embarked on a mission feed those facing food poverty, extending our reach far and wide to touch the lives of those in need across the globe. While our focus remained steadfast on our ongoing efforts in Gaza, Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the UK, we also undertook smaller projects that amplified our impact, showcasing the true essence of Ramadan's spirit.
In Masjid Al Fattah in Nigeria, we ensured that those engaging in i’tikaf received daily sustenance with 100 Iftar and suhoor meals over the last 10 days, in addition to our regular initiatives. With the support of our donors, we provided a total of 800 meals, nourishing both body and soul.
In the Ivory Coast, we directed our efforts towards 220 orphaned children during the final nights of Ramadan, providing Iftar meals at £2 each, totaling 5,600 meals. Despite the distance, our commitment to serving the vulnerable remained unwavering.
In Somalia, where resilience knows no bounds, we distributed food parcels to 20 families in need during the closing days of Ramadan. These parcels, alongside our ongoing projects, served as a beacon of hope in times of hardship.
Meanwhile, in war-torn Syria, our Fitrana initiative reached 500 families struggling to make ends meet. Amidst the chaos, our commitment to solidarity and compassion remained steadfast.
These endeavors, though smaller in scale, were carried out in addition to our daily meals and food packs distributed in Gaza, Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and our ongoing work in the UK. Together, with the unwavering support of our donors and the dedication of our volunteers, we continue to multiply our impact, spreading hope and compassion to those who need it most, both near and far.
